This specimen was lot 1844 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"KIRCHENSTAAT/VATIKAN Pius II. 1458-1464. Grosso o. J. Rom. RR Attraktive Patina, sehr schön. (Papl States, Pius II, 1458-64, undated grosso, Rome mint. Rare, attractive toning, very fine.)"
After 1740, a grosso was 1/20 of a scudo.
