This type was struck 1966-75, 1980-83, 1986 and 1993. It matches the module of the United States clad dime in every respect. It superseded a 90% silver tenth balboa. The 1967 was struck only in proof.
Recorded mintage: 20,000 proofs.
Specification: 2.27 g, copper-nickel clad copper, 17.9 mm diameter.
