This specimen was lot 1992 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €1,200 (about US$1,670 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NÜRNBERG, STADT, Goldgulden 1527. GOLD. Sehr schön. (Germany, city of Nuremberg, goldgulden of 1527, very fine.)"
This type commenced production about 1429 and were struck undated for several decades. Those produced 1506-47 have dates. The long production run makes this type the most common Nurnberger gold coin prior to the 1640's.
