This specimen was lot 2941 in Stephen Album sale 41 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2021), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "NOVA SCOTIA: Province, AE penny token, 1824, three thick locks at top, E in PROVINCE is defective, coin alignment, EF, R-5 (Courteau), ex Donald G. Partrick Collection (with envelope), ex J. Stewart (with tag). This piece is superior to the Courteau plate coin." This token was issued again in 1832, which date is slightly more common. The province struck tokens until 1856 and coinage during 1861-64.
