This specimen was lot 11193 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €192 (about US$200). The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 2 Øre, 1917. Kongsberg Mint. Haakon VII. NGC AU-55. Double line in Triqetra. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1917-20. The iron composition was a wartime expedient although Norway was neutral during World War One.
Recorded mintage: 720,000, a scarce date.
