This specimen was lot 75225 in Stack's Bowers May 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $341.60. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 2 Ore, 1893. Kongsberg Mint. NGC MS-66 Brown." This type was struck for Norway by the Swedish authorities 1876-77, 1884, 1889-93, 1897-99 and 1902. It is common in circulated condition but scarce choice. Similar coins circulated in Denmark and Sweden. This example sold for five times the catalog value.
