This specimen was lot 3257 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY: Oscar I, 1844-1859, AR 12 skilling, 1852, beaded border type, scattered hairlines, lightly lustrous with subtle toning, AU." This type was struck 1850-56 and is fairly common in worn condition. The previous type (KM 314.1) had a plain edge. Under Danish rule, one specie daler was 96 skilling; under Swedish rule, one specie daler was 120 skilling. This type was accompanied by a 24 skilling (KM 315.1).
