This specimen was lot 5931 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €320 (about US$414 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"NIGER, Republik. 10 Francs 1960, auf die Unabhängigkeit. 2,88 g Feingold. In US-Plastikholder der NGC mit der Bewertung PF 64 ULTRA CAMEO (6631943-008). GOLD. Nur 1.000 Exemplare geprägt. Polierte Platte. (republic of Niger, ten francs of 1960, for independence. Only 1,000 examples struck, proof, graded NGC PF-64 ULTRA CAMEO.)"

Niger is a poverty-stricken former French colony on the edge of the Sahara desert in Africa. This coin was issued in a set which included KM 2 (25 francs), KM 3 (50 francs), KM 4 (100 francs), KM 5 (500 francs) and KM 6 (1000 francs). Niger has no circulating coinage, using the CFA franc for daily transactions.
