This specimen was lot 31141 in Heritage auction 3096 (Dallas, TX, March 2021), where it sold for $4,080. The catalog description[1] noted, "New Zealand: Elizabeth II gold Proof "Ruby Jubilee" 5 Dollars 1993 PR69 Ultra Cameo NGC, Mintage: 210. An inviting gem with only two finer at NGC, this issue was struck to commemorate Elizabeth's Ruby Jubilee, or 40th anniversary of coronation. AGW 1.4011 oz. From the Paramount Collection." New Zealand has used the five dollar denomination only for commemoratives. This one was struck in copper-nickel, silver and gold.

Recorded mintage: 15,000 in copper-nickel plus 15,000 silver proofs plus 210 in gold.

Specification: KM 88: 27.22 g, copper-nickel, 38.73 mm diameter; KM 88a: 27.22 g, 0.925 fine silver; KM 88b: 47.53 g, 0.917 fine gold.
