This type was struck for circulation 1970-85. The previous type, KM 35 of 1967-69, stated 10/ONE SHILLING on the reverse. It is the same module as the Australian ten cents and was in fact plucked from circulation there.
Recorded mintage: 5,000,000 (London) plus 27,000 (Ottawa) plus 17,000 proofs.
Specification: 5.65 g, copper-nickel, 23.62 mm diameter.
