This specimen was lot 43111 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS EAST INDIES. Kingdom of the Netherlands. 1/4 Gulden, 1915. Wilhelmina I. NGC MS-66." This specimen was minted in Utrecht for the Netherlands East Indies in 1910-21, 1929-30. The SCWC lists no proofs for this date. A similar type (KM 319) was struck in Utrecht and San Francisco for the area until 1945. In 1949, the Dutch gave up their attempt to reconquer their colony and Indonesia obtained its dependence.
