Netherlands 2000 5 cent

This type was struck 1999-2013 for the Netherlands as part of the transition to the euro. The five cent division of the gulden (KM 202) was also struck in 2000 but is now obsolete. When Willem Alexander succeeded Beatrix in 2014, the coinage was redesigned to feature his portrait (see KM 346 for the five cent piece). As Netherlands goes cashless, fewer coins are needed and WIllem's coinage is much more modest in quantity than his mother's.
