This commemorative honors the bicentennial of Dutch-American friendship. In 1782, the United Provinces recognized the existence of the United States, becoming one of the first European states to do so at the risk of incurring war with Great Britain.

Recorded mintage: 189,986 plus 49,998 proofs plus two struck in gold.
