This specimen was lot 71738 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "NEPAL. Mohar, SE 1816 (1894). Prithvi Bir Bikram. PCGS MS-62. Ideally struck with thick frost within the design recesses." Confusingly, many Nepalese coins were struck in silver and gold using the same dies. Some coins are dated using the Saka Era (SE) and others using the Bikram Samvat Era (VS). As far as we can tell, this date is known only in silver. The type was struck SE 1803-1827 and has a low catalog value.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 5.6 g, silver, 26 mm diameter.
Catalog reference: KM-651.1.
