This specimen was lot 1100 in Stephen Album sale 43 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2022), where it sold for $960. The catalog description[1] noted, "NEPAL: Surendra Vikrama, 1847-1881, AV ¼ mohar, SE1790 (1868), in the name of Queen Sura Raja Lakshmi, NGC graded MS63." This type was struck SE 1769, 1787 and 1790. It has a low catalog value. Nepal was and is an independent nation between India and Tibet but under the strong influence of the British raj. Mohars also exist in silver.
