This specimen was lot 1154 in Stephen Album sale 47 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $840. The catalog description[1] noted, "NEPAL: Surendra Vikrama, 1847-1881, AV 1/2 mohar, SE1790 (1868), a wonderfully lustrous mint state example! PCGS graded MS64." Single and double mohars in silver and gold are common but the fractions, including this one year type, are scarce. Some coins are dated using the Saka Era (SE) and others using the Bikram Samvat Era (VS).
