This specimen was lot 47659 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. Nawanagar. Kori, AH (9)78 (ca. 1850). PCGS MS-63. Frozen date." The rulers of Nawanager were a branch of the Jams of Kutch across the Rann of Kutch. This type was struck with a frozen date of AH 978 (1570 AD). Since that is obviously not when it was made, we attribute it to Vibhaji's accession year, 1852. Eight dokda made a kori.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 4.7 g, silver, 17 mm diameter.
Catalog reference: KM-5.
