This specimen was lot 45156 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $180. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Naples & Sicily. 10 Grana, 1855. Ferdinand II. PCGS MS-64 Gold Shield. A blast white and somewhat prooflike coin, double struck on both sides, with flashy luster." The Kingdom of the Two Sicilies was annexed to Italy in 1860 but remains poor, backward and corrupt. This type was struck 1839-59 and is supposedly common in circulated condition. Ten grana = 1/12 of a piastra.
