This specimen was lot 6392 in CNG Triton XXVIII (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $980. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY, Napoli (Kingdom). Ferdinando IV di Borbone. First reign, 1759-1799. AV 2 Ducati. Napoli mint. Dated 1771 P CR C. Cuirassed bust right / Crowned coat-of-arms within wreath. Deposits, adjustment marks, a few hairlines and scratches. VF. From the Drewry Family Collection. Ex Malter 59 (6 November 1994), lot 407." This rare type was struck 1771 only along with a six ducati (Fr-849.
