The first specimen was lot 1205 in Sincona sale 63 (Zürich, June 2020), where it sold for 300 CHF (about US$376 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ITALY | Naples / Sicily, Carlo II. di Spagna, 1665-1700. Tari 1689, Napoli. FDC. (kingdom of Naples, Charles II of Spain, 1665-1700, tari of 1689, Naples mint. Uncirculated.)"

This type is listed for 1688-89 and was issued in the closing years of Spanish rule in Naples. Six tari made a piastra. Another tari, with a crowned bust of the king, was struck 1691-1700. The second specimen was lot 204 in Aureo y Calicó sale 448 (Barcelona, March 2025), where it sold for 500 € (about US$653 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted, "1689. Carlos II. Naples. AG/A. 1 tari. Obv.: ·CAROLVS·-·II·D G·REX·HIS·. Rev.: ·VTRIVS·SICI· / 16-89 / ·HIERVS·G·XX·. Light die lines. Patina. Very nice. Rare in this condition. EBC+ [choice extremely fine]."

Specification: 5.10 g, silver, 25 mm diameter, the first specimen 5.11 g, the second specimen is 5.11 g.
