This specimen was lot 2531 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "MYSORE: Haidar Ali, 1761-1782, AE paisa, Balhari, ND, elephant right, rare mint, Fine, ex Dr. Vincent John Adams Flynn Collection." The Indian state of Mysore, under her rulers Haider Ali (1761-82) and Tipu Sultan (1782-99), was a serious thorn in the side of the British Raj.
