This specimen was lot 1541 in Sincona sale 11 (Zürich, May 2013), where it sold for 2,100 CHF (about US$2,600 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANKREICH Murbach und Lüders, Abtei Johann Rudolf Stör von Störenberg, 1542-1570. Taler 1547, St. Amarin. Selten. Fast vorzüglich. (France, Abbey of Murbach and Luders, John Rudolf of Storenberg, 1542-70, thaler of 1547, St.-Amarin mint. Rare, nice extremely fine.)"
This obscure issue of 1544-60 is from the long-vanished Abbey of Murbach and Luders in upper Alsace. Double thalers also exist. The region is now firmly part of France.
