Künker sale 424, lot 501

This specimen was lot 501 in Künker Auction 424 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €2,400 (about US$3,399 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHE MÜNZEN UND MEDAILLEN · MÜNSTER, BISTUM Heinrich von Schwarzburg, 1466-1496. Goldgulden o. J., Münster. 2,74 g Die Wappenschilde von Schwarzburg, Bremen und Münster kleeblattförmig angeordnet, in der Mitte h//Hüftbild des Heiligen Paulus v. v. mit Schwert und Buch unter baldachinartigem Bogen, unten der Stiftsschild von Münster. GOLD. Von großer Seltenheit. Beschnitten, sehr schön. Exemplar der Slg. Kennepohl, Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 93, Osnabrück 2004, Nr. 3369 und der Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 275, Osnabrück 2016, Nr. 4845. (Germany, bishopric of Münster, Henry of Schwarzburg, 1466-96, undated goldgulden, Münster mint. Obverse: the arms of Schwarzburg, Bremen and Münster posed in a triangle, an "h" in the center; reverse: half length bust of St. Paul facing with sword and book under a Gothic baldachin, supporting the arms of Münster. Extremely rare, clipped, very fine.)"

This is the only gold coin of this bishop.
