This specimen was lot 702 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "MUGHAL: Shah Alam II, 1759-1806, AR rupee, Shahjahanabad, AH1218 year 46, with parasol & flower privy marks, environmental damage, PCGS graded VF details. The East India Company had effective control of the Delhi Mint from 1803; it remained nominally under the authority of the Mughal Emperor, therefore it is debatable whether this type falls into a Mughal or East India Company category." This type is listed for AH 1218, 1219 and 1221 and is rare.
