This specimen was lot 2377 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "MUGHAL: Aurangzeb, 1658-1707, AR rupee, Machhlipattan, AH1113 year 45, 3 small testmarks; superior strike, choice XF." This type was struck at Machhlipattan (today Machilipatnam) years 31-52 and is scarce. The SCWC lists 116 mints. Machilipatnam is a city in the center of Andra Pradesh state and was the port of Golkonda. It was captured by the East India Company in 1759.
