Abd al-Hafid proclaimed himself sultan in AH 1324 and seized the throne from his brother, but was not recognized by Western powers until some years later. Only three denominations were issued during his short reign. As with his two predecessors, his identity is only alluded to on the coins, without directly stating his name.
Shown is a silver quarter rial from the Paris mint, dated AH 1329, or 1911 AD.
