This specimen was lot 1315 in Stephen Album internet sale 28 (Santa Rosa, CA, July 2024), where it sold for $144. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MOROCCO: Mohammed VI, 1999-, AR 250 dirhams, 2000/AH1421, 1st Anniversary of Mohammed VI's Enthronement, some hairlines, prooflike, UNC, ex Dr. Wolfgang Schuster Collection." The king ascended the throne in 1999 at the age of 36. He is one of the wealthiest men in Africa and the fifth-richest monarch in the world. Whispers of government corruption have provoked a violent response from the regime.
