This specimen was lot 10570 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $5,875. The catalog description[1] noted, "MONTENEGRO. 5 Perpera, 1909. PCGS MS-64 Secure Holder. One year type. Very scarce in this condition." Davenport notes that this type was struck in Paris, while the succeeding type of 1912 and 1914 (Dav-223) was made in Vienna. Montenegro was incorporated into Yugoslavia in 1918-19.
