Stack's Bowers October 2024 Collector's Choice sale, lot 75520

This specimen was lot 75520 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2024), where it sold for $145. The catalog description[1] noted, "MONGOLIA. 1000 Tugrik, 2021. NGC PROOF-70 Ultra Cameo. A well made piece with mirrored surfaces and soft devices." This design was also used for a one ounce silver coin (KM 421). Altho Napoleon traveled far and wide during his career, he never made it to Mongolia.

Recorded mintage: 5,000.

Specification: 0.5 g, 0.999 fine gold, 13.9 mm diameter, 0.016 troy oz AGW.
