This specimen was lot 76529 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $85. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MONGOLIA. 1000 Tugrik, 2017. PCGS PROOF-69 Deep Cameo. Fidel Castro. First Day of Issue." The denomination is sometimes spelled 1000 tögrög. As of November 2025, 1000 tugrik is about US$0.28. Fidel Castro (1926-2016) was also featured on a one ounce silver 1000 tugrik (KM 370).
