This specimen was lot 76527 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $105. The catalog description[1] noted, "MONGOLIA. 500 Tugrik, 2015. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Mongolian Nature series. Featuring the saker falcon (Falco cherrug)." The denomination is sometimes spelled 500 tögrög. As of November 2025, 500 tugrik is about US$0.14. Thousands of these birds are captured each year for the falconry trade, rendering it increasingly scarce.
