This specimen was lot 3424 in Aureo y Calicó sale 422 (Barcelona, December 2023), where it sold for 30 € (about US$39 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Mongollia. 1995. 250 tugrik. Juegos Olímpicos - Atlanta '96. Arquero [archery]. AG. Proof." The collapse of communism allowed the people of Mongolia to wrest their country free of dictatorship in 1990-92. The country remains poor, and the sale of NCLT's helps. Mongols have been famous for archery since the time of Genghis Khan.
