This specimen was lot 73267 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $1,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 5 Onza (Ounces), 2007-Mo. Mexico (Potosi) Mint. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Tied for finest certified of the date with 16 other pieces on the NGC census. A seldom encountered very SCARCE low mintage semi-key date from the series. Garnering a near perfect grade from NGC, this flashy large format issue exhibits hard mirrored fields with crisp frosted devices. Close inspection reveals areas of slight haziness amongst the reverse devices, otherwise free of tone or fog." This type was struck in small numbers 1996-2024. The mintage shown here is typical.
