The first specimen was lot 73265 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 20 Centavos, 1935-M. Mexico City Mint. NGC MS-67. The finest graded example of the date at NGC, this dazzlingly brilliant Gem offers tremendous luster and brilliance, along with a hint of light golden toning sprinkled throughout." This type was struck 1920-21, 1925-30, 1933-43. A brief spike in silver prices forced the mint to issue bronze 20 centavos (KM 437) in 1935.
