This specimen was lot 70718 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $228. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Mecklenburg-Strelitz. 1/48 Taler, 1859-A. Berlin Mint. Friedrich Wilhelm. PCGS PROOF-64. Pop: 2, none graded finer by PCGS. A frosty Proof with a bit of flash in the fields, and traces of light toning." This obscure minor coin was struck 1855 and 1859 and has a low catalog value. The "A" mintmark is for Berlin; the duchy was too small to support its own mint. The SCWC does not mention any proofs.

Specification: 1.33 g, 0.208 fine silver.
Catalog reference: KM-91; J-117.
