This specimen was lot 46 in Nomisma Aste e-live-auction 3 (Verona, Italy, May 2023), where it sold for 180 euro (about US$233 including buyer's fees). The lot description noted, "MALTA Emmanuel de Rohan (1775-1797) Tarì 1786 - M.di BB. (Order of Malta, Emanuel de Rohan, 1775-97, tari of 1786, about very fine.)" This type was struck 1786 only. The Maltese used currency derived from their neighbors the Sicilians; 20 grani = one tari, 12 tari = one scudo. The crown size coin was thirty tari.
