Künker sale 404, lot 2371

This specimen was lot 2371 in Künker sale 404 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €480 (about US$630 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DAS ERZBISTUM MAINZ. ERZBISCHOF JOHANN PHILIPP VON SCHÖNBORN, 1647-1673. Die Münzstätte Mainz. Albus 1658, Mainz. Münzmeister Matthias Fischer. Vierfeldiges Wappen (Mainz/Franken/ Würzburg/Mainz) mit Mittelschild von Schönborn, umher Blätterkranz//[drei Ringe übereinander] I [drei Ringe übereinander] / ALBVS / • 1658 • / MF (ligiert) /, umher Blätterkranz. RR Sehr schön. Exemplar der Slg. Bauer, Auktion Dr. Busso Peus Nachf. 323, Frankfurt/Main 1988, Nr. 2203 und der Slg. Heinz Beaury, Auktion Fischer 7, Bonn 2022, Nr. 5245. (Germany, archbishopric of Mainz, John Philip of Schönborn, 1647-73, albus of 1658, Mainz mint. Obverse: quartered arms of Mainz, Franconia, Wurzburg and Mainz with the escutcheon of Schönborn, leafy wreath around; reverse: value and date in wreath, Very rare, very fine.)"
