Macao 1974 20 patacas

This issue was minted in Lisbon for the Portuguese colony of Macao as the Portuguese colonial wars were thrashing to their end. The coin is common despite the tiny reported mintage. Unlike the other colonies of Portugal, there was never any agitation for independence but the colony was returned to China in 1999.

Specification: 18 g, .650 fine silver, 35 mm diameter.
