Sincona sale 102, part of lot 5368

This specimen was part of lot 5368 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$302 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ. Luzern. Stadt und Kanton. Batzen 1803, Luzern und Aarau. Batzen 1804. Batzen 1805. Lot von 3 Stück. Schön-sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Luzern, batzen of 1803, 1804 and 1805, Luzern mint. Fine-Very Fine, three pieces.)"

This example is from a type struck 1804 and 1806. One thaler was forty batzen and one batzen was ten rappen.

Recorded mintage: 67,871.

Specification: 2.6 g, billon, 25 mm diameter.
