This specimen was lot 3344 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 1,300 CHF (about US$1,745 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Luzern, Dicken 1647, Luzern. Selten. Sehr schön. Leicht justiert und kleines Zainende. (Switzerland, canton of Luzern, dicken of 1647, Luzern mint. Rare, Very fine, Minor adjustment marks and minor edge clip.)"
This type was struck 1623, 1647 and 1656. In other cantons, the dicken was 24 kreuzer or 4/15 thaler but in Luzern it was worth a quarter thaler.
