This specimen was lot 5328 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 300 CHF (about US$452 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ. Luzern. Stadt und Kanton. Schilling 1597, Luzern. Wappen in Vierpass zwischen 15 - 97. Rv. Brustbild des hl. Leodegar von vorne. Antiqua Buchstaben. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Gutes sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Luzern, Rare in this condition, Good Very Fine.)"
This type was struck in numerous varieties 1596-1605. One thaler was 36 schilling.
