This specimen was part of lot 47825 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), which sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Lucca & Piombino. Trio of Minor Denominations (3 Pieces), 1806 & 1807. Florence Mint. Felix Bacciocchi & Elisa Bonaparte. Average Grade: AU Details. 1) Franco, 1807. KM-23. 2) 3 Centesimi, 1806. KM-21. 3) 3 Centesimi, 1806." The Napoleonic puppet state of Lucca e Piombino was erected in 1805 for Napoleon's sister Elise. She was later promoted to Grand Duchess of Tuscany and Lucca was merged with that state. Numista states this coin was actually minted between December 1812 and October 1813.
