Lubeck 1745-JJJ thaler Dav-2419
This specimen was lot 4101 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €1,400 (about US$1,832 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"LÜBECK, STADT. Reichstaler 1745, mit Titel von Franz I. und dem Abzeichen des Bürgermeisters Heinrich Balemann. Mit Randschrift. Sehr selten, besonders in dieser Erhaltung. Attraktives Exemplar mit hübscher Patina, vorzüglich +. (Germany, city of Lubeck, thaler of 1745, in the name of Francis I and the arms of mayor Henry Balemann, with edge lettering. Very rare in this condition, attractive example with handsome patina, extremely fine or better.)"
