This specimen was lot 665 in Stacks-Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $1,997.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Lubeck. Taler, 1559. NGC MS-62. One small edge flaw. Dark pearlescent toning. From the Rockaway Collection." Davenport notes this as a one year type. A 1½ thaler also exists.

Recorded mintage: unknown but rare.
