This specimen was lot 4008 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €30,000 (about US$39,258 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

Taler 1544, mit dem Abzeichen des Bürgermeisters Gotthard von Höveln. * MONETA · CESAREÆ · CIVITATIS - LVBECÆ St. Johannes v. v. mit Lamm und Kreuzfahne auf Buch im linken Arm, über Schild mit Doppeladler//+ IMP : CAROLVS · V · CESARV3 · NVLLI · SECVDV Drapiertes Brustbild des Kaisers v. v. mit Hut und umgelegter Kette des Ordens vom Goldenen Vlies. Von großer Seltenheit. Feine Patina, sehr schön. Exemplar der Slg. Dr. Dieter Dummler, Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 90, Osnabrück 2004 (Nr. 156). (Germany, city of Lubeck, thaler of 1544, with the badge of mayor Gottard of Hoveln.
