This specimen was lot 1008 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €1,100 (about US$1,421 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"LÜBECK, STADT Breiter Doppeltaler o. J. (1619/1627), mit dem Abzeichen des Bürgermeisters Alexander Lüneburg. Münzmeister Heinrich von der Klähren. R Kl. Schrötlingsfehler am Rand, sehr schön. (Germany, city of Lubeck, undated wide double thaler, with the badge of the mayor Alexander Luneburg, mintmaster Henry of der Klähren. Edge crack, very fine.)"
This type, along with the concurrent 1½ thaler (Dav-LS340) and four thaler (Dav-LS338) pieces, is listed in the SCWC as rare.
