This specimen was lot 817 in Jean Elsen sale 112 (Brussels, March 2012) where it sold for € 3,200 (about US$5,000 including buyer's fee). The catalog description[1] noted,

"LIEGE, Principauté, Ferdinand de Bavière (1612-1650), AV couronne d'or (écu d'or), 1613, Bouillon. Droit : Cartouche aux armes de Bouillon, sous une grande couronne, sur une crosse et une épée en sautoir, entre deux fleurons. Revers : Croix ornée, B au centre, cantonnée de quatre fleurons. Très Rare. Très Beau." (Prince-Bishopric of Liege, Ferdinand of Bavaria, 1612-50, gold écu d'or of 1613, Bouillon mint. Obverse: cartouche with the arms of Bouillon beneath a large crown over a sword and a bishop's crozier; reverse: ornate cross, "B" in the center, florets in the fields; very rare, very fine.)

The bishopric of Liège was an ecclesiastical state in central Belgium and usually ruled by a Hapsburg client. The surrounding territory was ruled by the Spanish Hapsburgs from about 1500 until 1699 and the Austrian Hapsburgs 1714-97. This coin is just a bit short in weight to be classed as a ducat. The type shown here was struck 1613 only. The SCWC notes it as rare.
