This specimen is from a type issued for Liberia in 1941. It is accompanied by copper nickel one and two cents. In the last twenty years, Liberia has fallen into the clutches of the private minters, who have issued such Liberian themed commemoratives as Star Trek (KM 128), Babe Ruth (KM 131) and Princess Diana (KM 464).
