This specimen was lot 71163 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "LEBANON. 1/2 Piastre, 1941. PCGS MS-65 Secure Holder. Struck in Paris (privy mark on reverse). Without corrosion. Well struck and lustrous." This half piastre was struck in Paris for Lebanon soon after the fall of France. It is a somewhat scarce type. Later in 1941, local Free French forces struck a series of crude half, one, 2½ and five piastres.

Recorded mintage: 1,000,000.
