Stack's Bowers 2021 NYINC sale, lot 24146

This specimen was lot 24146 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $1,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "LAOS. 100000 Kips, 2006. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Obverse features the Buddha in meditation. A brilliant and attractive proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices." Other 100,000 lip issued in 2006 include KM 143 (Mazu), KM 141 (year of the dog). The Buddha was also featured on KM 145 (15,000 kip, silver) and KM 146 (10,000 kip, gold).

Specification: 15.55 g, 0.999 fine gold, 27 mm diameter.
